His Excellency President Dr Irfaan Ali accepted the Letters of Credence from the Non-Resident High Commissioner of Barbados, H.E. David Comissiong on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at State House, in Georgetown.
During brief remarks, following the accreditation, President Ali commented on further building on the bilateral foundation already established with Barbados. He noted that Guyana would continue to work with Barbados to strengthen relations in agriculture, trade and commerce and housing among other areas. The new non-resident High Commissioner also committed to playing his part in advancing the cooperation between the CARICOM nations.
